Tone and tuning
Lovely rich tone, with a little pleasant brightness and a large dynamic range - plenty of power for fortissimo passages! Very strong bass for an upright piano and the treble is clear and bell like. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard is in very good condition. The Kawai action is superb, with fast repetition and has been regulated to play evenly across the whole keyboard, with a medium weight. The longer key length in this piano gives the advanced player greater control over dynamics and tone, more akin to a grand piano.
Hammers and strings
Only a little wear in the hammer felts and the strings are also in very good condition (see photos).
Soundboard
As new condition, no cracks or splits.
Case
Very smart ebony polish black gloss case in excellent condition throughout. Looks stunning and will complement most styles of decor. This piano features a soft close lid to protect fingers from being squashed by accident. Brand new matching adjustable stool included in the sale.
