This is a fantastic instrument from Kawai’s highly regarded KG range, made for the most discerning pianists. It was built in Kawai’s main Hamamatsu factory in 1980, has been very well looked after, and we have now reconditioned this piano to be ready for many more years of enjoymnent. At slightly under 6ft in length it is large enough to deliver the real grand piano experience for players and listeners, but small enough to fit into most rooms. 
 
Tone and tuning 
Wonderful tone that is bold, powerful, rich and crystal clear, with an even sound throughout the registers. Plenty of power in the bass and a beautiful singing treble - this is a piano that just loves to be played! It features 3 pedals including full sostenuto. Excellent dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). 
 
Keyboard and action 
The full 88 note keyboard and action are both in very good condition having been stripped apart for checking and cleaning. The action has been carefully regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight, suitable for all levels of pianist - very expressive indeed.
 
Hammers and strings 
Hammers have only slight wear and the strings are in great condition - see photos. 
 
Sound board 
Excellent condition - no cracks, splits or bumps.
 
Case 
Stunning black gloss case. in very good condition throughout - there are few small marks here are there consistent with the age of the piano but these do not detract from a piano that is as stunning to see as to listen to. Matching stool included in the sale
 
Dimensions
178cm / 5’ 10” long, 100cm high, 146cm wide - a large baby grand or ‘boudoir' grand piano, truly impressive in stature and sound.
