This is a fully working piano with great tone, well looked after over the years by previous owners (taken by Berries Barn Pianos in part exchange) but less than perfect cosmetically! The lacquer has peeled off in many areas around the keyboard, where sunlight has hit it. This could be restored relatively simply to massively improve the appearance, or a full case respray could look truly amazing. This is a high calibre piano - Chappell 6ft grands of this era were particularly good. The soundboard and bridges are in great shape. Strings are original and sound very good but could do with a clean up (as could much of the inside of the piano but this is not a big job). 
 
The action is working really well and the tone is really very good throughout. It has been tuned regularly but is probably due for a tuning and would need doing after moving anyway.
 
An ideal project for a piano lover with a bit of time to invest in getting the piano back to its former glory! Or a very very cheap 6ft grand piano for someone who can overlook the cosmetics!
