The Feurich 112 F is a wonderfully refined handmade German upright piano, highly regarded for its warm, rich and expressive tone. Finished in an elegant teak case, this particular example is in amazingly well preserved condition throughout, quite remarkable for a piano purchased new in 1977. Having resided in the same position in one home from new, it has clearly been cherished and carefully looked after, whilst seeing only fairly light use over the years.
Feurich pianos have a long and distinguished history dating back to 1851 in Leipzig, Germany, where the company quickly established a reputation for producing instruments of exceptional musical quality and craftsmanship. This piano features the renowned Renner action (widely considered one of the finest piano actions in the world) offering superb responsiveness, control and sensitivity for players of all levels.
Tonally, the piano is deeply impressive for its size, with a rich, rounded bass and a singing, lyrical treble that gives the instrument a wonderfully mature and expressive character. It is equally capable as a family piano, teaching instrument or something for a more advanced pianist looking for genuine German quality and musicality in a relatively compact package.
As with all of our pianos, this Feurich has been carefully checked, serviced and prepared by ourselves to present it at its very best for its next owner. Instruments of this quality have a unique ability to inspire playing and musical progression, and this piano offers a wonderful opportunity for somebody to develop a lifelong love of piano music on a truly fine instrument.

Tone and tuning
Impressive rich and deep tone throughout the registers. Unbelievably good bass for a piano that is 112cm tall - it beats many much larger pianos! From the first note played you can feel that this is a piano that loves to be played! Tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). This piano features a mute rail for much quieter practice - operated by a lever to the left of the keyboard, rather than a 3rd pedal.
Hammers and strings
The Renner hammers are in excellent condition, with not much wear at all. Strings in great condition throughout. This is certainly a very well cared for piano and it is hard to believe it is nearly 50 years old
Soundboard
Perfect condition with no cracks or splits.
Keys and action
All original and in excellent condition. The action is very responsive indeed with medium weight feel and even across the keyboard - very pleasing to play, allowing for real control of expression.
Case
A stunning 'mid-century’ teak case which is in excellent condition. A couple of slight marks but hardly noticeable - this is a real stunner of a piano and might appeal to someone looking for an alterative to the much more common shiny black pianos! The matching adjustable stool is included in the price.
