This lovely Kawai CE-7N was made in Japan in 1982, and is a very good quality studio sized upright which would be suitable for beginner to intermediate pianists. Kawai are Japan’s second largest piano maker, with an excellent reputation, on a par with Yamaha.
 
 
Tone and tuning
 
This piano has a lovely rich tone with a good balance between brightness and warmth, and a good dynamic range for a fairly small piano. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano has a 3rd pedal which operates a mute rail for much softer playing - ideal for practising late at night if you have neighbours!
 
 
Keyboard and action
 
The full 88 note keyboard is in very good condition and the action has just been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard, with a medium weight action. 
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
Only a little wear in the hammers - see pictures - many years of playing before the hammers would need refelting. Strings also in very good condition.
 
 
Sound board
 
Excellent condition, no cracks, splits or ripples. 
 
 
Case
 
The black gloss case is in good condition but there are quite a few marks and scratches etc. We have buffed the whole case to restore its shine, tidied up the blemishes etc and it looks great overall. If you are looking for a mint condition piano this is certainly not it but this is a very good opportunity to buy a quality small piano at a great price! Please see photos. Dimensions 
 
108cm tall x 57 deep x 144 wide (widest point at top lid). A small sized upright with an impressive sound, that will easily fit into fairly small spaces.
