This is a much sought after instrument from Kawai’s ‘Grand Supreme’ range, made for the most discerning pianists. It would be ideal for a professional musician, piano teacher, or advanced level student looking to continue their progress. At just over 6ft in length it is large enough to deliver the full grand piano experience for players and listeners, but small enough to fit into most rooms. Made in Japan in 1984, this piano has been only lightly used and now carefully reconditioned by ourselves and set up to be at its very best, so this is a great opportunity to own a top class modern grand piano for a relatively low price. Kawai's current equivalent model is the GX-3, and retails for around £25,000. The comparable Yamaha would be the C3 and we think this Kawai GS-30 is every bit as good, if not better!

Tone and tuning 
 
Wonderful tone that is bold, powerful, rich and crystal clear, with an even sound throughout the registers. The bass section is very powerful, which only a high quality large piano can deliver. The sound is so rewarding for the player that it is difficult to stop playing! Excellent dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). 
 
 
Keyboard and action 
 
The full 88 note keyboard and action are both in excellent condition having been stripped apart for checking and cleaning. The action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight, suitable for all levels of pianist - very expressive indeed and well suited to the demands of advanced level playing.
 
 
Pedals
 
Damper and Una Corda as usual, plus Sostenuto pedal (in the middle) which is required in some higher level romantic and modern era pieces. 
 
 
Hammers and strings 
 
Hammers have very little wear and the strings are in great condition also. 
 
 
Soundboard 
 
Excellent condition - no cracks, splits or bumps.
 
 
Case 
 
Very attractive black polyester gloss case. In excellent condition overall - we have rebuffed and polished the whole piano, there is the odd small mark here and there are which remains, consistent with the age of the piano, but these are barely visible. Overall as stunning to see as it is to hear. Matching stool included in the sale
