Tone and tuning
Lovely rich tone, quite warm with a little pleasant brightness and a large dynamic range - plenty of power for fortissimo passages! Excellent bass for a fairly small upright piano and the treble is clear and bell like. Nicely balanced tone throughout the registers. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The K-18 features the exclusive Kawai Ultra-Responsive Action, which provides an outstanding level of control to the pianist. The action uses some ABS-Carbon components, designed to be stiff but light, as well as more traditional handcrafted wooden parts, making the piano’s touch very responsive and with fast repetition. The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard, with a medium weight to suit all abilities.
Hammers and strings
Only a little wear in the hammer felts and the strings are also in superb condition (see photos).

As new condition.
Case
The stunning ebony polish / black gloss case is in very good condition throughout - we have thoroughly buffed the whole case to restore the mirror finish shine, there are a few small scratches which remain but these are not very noticeable. Double stool with storage included in the sale. This piano features a soft close lid for the safety of small hands.
