Tone and tuning
Wonderful tone that is bold, powerful, rich and crystal clear, with an even sound throughout the registers. Plenty of power in the bass and a beautiful singing treble - this is a piano that just loves to be played! It features 3 pedals including full sostenuto. Excellent dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard and action are both in very good condition having been stripped apart for checking and cleaning. The action has been carefully regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight, suitable for all levels of pianist - very expressive indeed.
Hammers and strings
Hammers have minimal wear and the strings are in great condition - see photos. This piano has had a fairly easy life so far!
Sound board
Excellent condition - no cracks, splits or bumps.
Case
A beautiful natural wood finish - satin walnut, which is in very good to excellent condition throughout - there are few tiny marks here are there consistent with the age of the piano but these do not detract from a piano that is as stunning to see as to listen to, and are barely noticeable. The matching adjustable stool is included in the sale
