If you are in search of a high quality small upright piano with a bit more character than the ubiquitous shiny black polyester models, then this Knight K10 will be really hard to beat! Made by the Knight company in England in 1978, this would be great for beginners to advanced players, and has been fairly lightly used over the years. We just love Knight pianos and always try to have one or two K10s available for sale - they are among the best smallish uprights ever built - fantastic pianos and for many years were the only other brand of piano available at Steinway Hall in London. Having been carefully reconditioned and prepared in our workshop to offer many more years of music making and to be at its best for the new owners, it has also had a stunning refinish to the case in Farrow and Ball’s stylish Carriage Green colour. Ideal for a smallish room in the home, this will undoubtedly inspire the new owner to sit and enjoy its beautiful sounds for many hours and would suit beginners to advanced players alike. 


Tone and tuning 
 
This piano has a very pleasant sound indeed, a lovely warm and rich tone with a little sweet brightness also. Good dynamic range for a fairly small piano. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).


Keyboard and action

The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition. The action has been carefully regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action, which will suit most players, including beginners. A responsive and high quality action.


Hammers and strings

Strings are in very good condition and the hammers have been lightly refaced and have lots of fresh felt.
 
Sound board

European spruce soundboard - in excellent condition, no cracks or splits.


Case

This lovely piano has had a stylish and modern makeover with the unique Farrow & Ball ‘Carriage Green’ re-finish.
