A high quality, brand new piano, with excellent tone and a fast and responsive touch this piano is very impressive all round and ideal for any level of pianist. Kawai are Japan’s 2nd largest piano manufacturer after Yamaha, both companies make some superb pianos but the most recent innovations in design seem to be coming from Kawai and some musicians prefer the warmer tone of Kawai. The K series are very highly regarded, winning many prestigious awards. The K-200 is 114cm tall - a little larger than the studio upright K-15, and therefore with longer strings and a larger soundboard, contributing to a deeper tone and greater dynamic contrast.

Tone and tuning
 
Lovely rich and warm tone, with a little brightness and a very good dynamic range indeed for its size! Really good strong bass and the treble is clear and bell like. Nicely balanced tone throughout the registers. Includes 3rd / mute pedal Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
