Recently arrived with us and now carefully prepared for sale, this is a very good quality piano made by the well regarded Samick company (South Korea) in 1996. Their pianos are mainly seen under this Reid-Sohn (a UK importer) brand in the UK and are very popular with schools and colleges due to their excellent build quality, reliability and tone. Samick are one of the world’s largest manufacturers of musical instruments and their piano making operations have seen collaborations with many top brands including Bechstein and Seiler in Germany. Their quality certainly rivals many better known Japanese makers such as Yamaha and Kawai, but at a lower price point. This is a particularly lovely looking and sounding piano, ideal for beginners to advanced players, in near mint condition and with very little use so far - see pictures of hammers. Tone and tuning
Strong and bright, but well balanced tone, and a good dynamic range for a piano of this size. Has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano features a 3rd pedal for very quiet practice.
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action, which will suit most players, including beginners.
Hammers and strings
Very little wear in the hammers (German felts) and the strings (Roslau) are in excellent condition. Internally the piano is as good as new.
Sound board
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks or splits.
Case
Stunning looking black gloss polyester case. In very good condition throughout (just a few tiny marks which are hardly noticeable) and would perfectly complement most homes.
