Reid-Sohn SU-110 Modern Upright Piano in Polished Black
Ideal for aspiring pianists, this piano is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a robust, dependable upright to support them throughout their studies. Carefully prepared for sale, it is a high-quality instrument manufactured in 1993 by the highly regarded Samick company of South Korea.
In the UK, Samick pianos are most commonly found under the Reid-Sohn brand (a UK importer) and are widely used by schools and colleges thanks to their strong build quality, reliability, and pleasing tone. Samick is one of the world’s largest musical instrument manufacturers, with piano-making operations that have included collaborations with prestigious European brands such as Bechstein and Seiler in Germany.
The quality of these instruments comfortably rivals that of many better-known Japanese makers, including Yamaha and Kawai, while remaining at a more accessible price point. This particular piano is especially attractive both visually and sonically, suitable for beginners through to advanced players. It is in near-mint condition with very little use to date, as evidenced by the excellent condition of the hammers (see photographs). Video demo available on request.

Tone and tuning
Strong and bright, but well balanced tone, and a good dynamic range for a piano of this size. Has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano features a 3rd pedal for very quiet practice.
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action, which will suit most players, including beginners.
Hammers and strings
Very little wear in the hammers (Royal George) and the strings (Roslau) are in excellent condition also. Internally the piano is in almost as new condition.
Sound board
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks or splits.
Case
Stunning looking black gloss polyester case, fairly compact but a traditional design with front legs. In excellent condition throughout (just a few tiny marks which are hardly noticeable) and would perfectly complement most homes.
