Tone and tuning
 
A deep, rich and resonant tone throughout the registers. Very good bass indeed for a piano that is only 108cm tall - outperformingsome  much larger pianos! Tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). This piano features a mute rail for much quieter practice - operated by a lever to the left of the keyboard, rather than a 3rd pedal. 
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
The hammers are in excellent condition, with not much wear at all. Strings in great condition throughout as per photos. This is certainly a very well cared for piano and it is hard to believe it is nearly 50 years old! It has many decades of faithful service ahead.
 
 
Soundboard
 
Top quality spruce soundboard - perfect condition with no cracks or splits.
 
 
Keys and action
 
All original and in excellent condition. The Renner action is very responsive indeed with medium weight feel and even across the keyboard - very expressive and pleasing to play.
 
 
Case
 
The rare dark oak case is in excellent condition throughout. The adjustable stool is included in the price.
