This W. Hoffmann 106 is a real treat to have in our Norwich showroom! Tone and tuning
 
A rich and resonant tone throughout the registers. Unbelievably good bass for a piano that is only 106cm tall - outperforming many much larger pianos! From the first note played you can feel that this is a piano that loves to be played! Tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz). This piano features a mute rail for much quieter practice - operated by a lever to the left of the keyboard, rather than a 3rd pedal.
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
The Renner hammers are in excellent condition, with not much wear at all. Strings in great condition throughout as per photos. This is certainly a very well cared for piano and it is hard to believe it is 50 years old! It has many decades of faithful service ahead.
 
 
Soundboard
 
Top quality Bavarian spruce soundboard - perfect condition with no cracks or splits.
 
 
Keys and action
 
All original and in excellent condition. The Renner action is very responsive indeed with medium weight feel and even across the keyboard - very pleasing to play, allowing the player effortless expression!
 
 
Case
 
A stunning and rare burr walnut case which is in very condition. There are a few marks here and there consistent with age, but nothing that detracts from the beautiful cabinetry of this classy piano. The adjustable stool is included in the price.
