This is a superb small upright piano made in 1986 in England by Welmar, one of the finest of the British piano makers. This is a stunning looking and sounding piano, ideal for a smaller space and suitable for all levels up to advanced or professional pianists. Welmar pianos are very highly regarded for their tonal quality and reliability and are very popular with musicians and teachers. They worked closely with Bluthner over the years and the influence can definitely be heard in the rich, sweet and mellow tone. 
 
Tone and tuning
 
Wonderful rich yet mellow classic ‘European’ tone with the ideal balance between brightness and warmth, and a good dynamic and tonal range. Very good bass for a piano of this size. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). 
 
 
Keyboard and action
 
The full 88 note keyboard is in very good condition and the action is nice and responsive and plays smoothly across the whole keyboard, with a medium weight, which would suit beginners and advanced players alike.
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
The original hammers are in very good shape - this piano has not been played heavily but has been well looked after by the previous owners. Strings in very good condition also.
 
 
Sound board
 
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks or splits
 
 
Case
 
In very good condition throughout - a few very minor blemishes but hardly noticeable even close up. Matching adjustable stool is included in the price, as in photos.
