We just love these small Welmar pianos! With a rich and warm tone, smooth and responsive Schwander action and gorgeous light oak satin case it would be an ideal piano for someone looking for a quality European piano, and we think it is significantly better than many of the mass produced Asian pianos. If you are just beginning your piano journey or are a seasoned player with a smaller space, then this piano will delight and allow your musicality to flourish! Made in 1980 in England by Welmar, one of the finest of the British piano makers, this has been very well looked after indeed and now carefully prepared in our workshop to be at its very best. These pianos are very highly regarded for their tonal quality and reliability and are very popular with musicians and teachers. Welmar worked closely with Bluthner (one of the major German piano producers) over the years and the influence can definitely be heard in the rich, sweet and mellow tone.

Tone and tuning
 
Wonderful rich yet mellow classic ‘European’ tone with the ideal balance between brightness and warmth, and a good dynamic and tonal range. Very good bass indeed for a piano of this size. It would be very hard to find a small piano that sounds as good as this! Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). 
 
 
Keyboard and action
 
The full 88 note keyboard is in very good condition and the action is nice and responsive and plays smoothly across the whole keyboard, with a medium weight, which would suit beginners and advanced players alike.
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
The original hammers are in very good shape - this piano has not been played heavily but has been well looked after by the previous owners. Strings in very good condition also - see photos.
 
 
Sound board
 
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks or splits
 
 
Case
 
In very good condition throughout - a few very minor blemishes but hardly noticeable even close up. Matching adjustable stool is included in the price, as in photos.
