If you’re looking a serious instrument for advanced level studies or performance then this superb IQ-28 piano by Wilh. Steinberg would be an excellent choice. It has been fairly lightly used by the previous owners and we have just thoroughly reconditioned it in our workshop so it is playing and sounding at its finest, and we are delighted to be able to offer it for sale. Fully made in Germany in 2002 by Wilh Steinberg (not to be confused with Gerh Steinberg), this is the largest of their upright models and is designed for the most discerning pianists. At 129cm tall it has a lovely rich tone and a very deep bass, thanks to the long strings and large soundboard.

Tone and tuning
 
Exceptionally good tone throughout, rich and detailed, with the perfect balance between brightness and warmth, and a very large dynamic range. The amazing sound of this piano has to be heard in person to be fully appreciated but please get in touch to hear a demo. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
 
Keyboard and action
 
The full size 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition. The Renner action is superb - very responsive, allowing complete control over tone and dynamics, and has been carefully regulated so plays evenly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight.
 
Hammers and strings
 
Hammers are in excellent condition, strings also in near new condition. This piano has had quite an easy life so far. 
 
Soundboard
 
The Italian made ‘Ciresa' Red Spruce soundboard, as found in most of the world’s prestige piano brands, is in excellent condition, as new.
 
Case
 
A stunning and timeless looking black high gloss case, which we have thoroughly repolished - this will certainly become an impressive focal point in its new home!
