At 6'1" (186cm) in length, the C3 is widely regarded as something of a sweet spot in Yamaha’s grand piano range – large enough to produce a wonderfully rich, powerful bass and impressive tonal depth, while remaining a practical size for the home, teaching studio or smaller performance space.
This piano is in superb condition throughout, purchased new by the previous owners and very well looked after, with a beautiful polished ebony cabinet and an equally impressive playing condition. The action is wonderfully responsive and precise, while the tone has all the clarity and projection for which these pianos are renowned, combined with plenty of warmth and colour.
The C3 has long been a favourite with professional pianists, teachers, schools, studios and serious home players, and it’s easy to see why. It is an extremely versatile instrument, equally comfortable with delicate, expressive playing or considerably more demanding repertoire.

Tone and tuning
Impressive tone that is bold, powerful, rich and crystal clear, with a great range of tones available. The bass section is very powerful as you would expect from a piano of this size and the dynamic range is very wide, making this piano ideal for advanced level study. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
Keyboard and action
The full size 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition, as is the action, which is very responsive under the fingers, with fast repetition and allows for detailed and expressive playing. This is suitable for all levels of pianist.
Hammers and strings
Hammers have only a little wear and the strings are in great condition also - see photos.
Sound board
Excellent condition solid spruce.
Case
Stunning black high gloss case. In excellent condition throughout - we have repolished the whole case to restore its shine and it looks fantastic, almost as new. A high quality GEWA matching adjustable stool is included in the sale.
