Made in Japan in 1988, this is an excellent quality piano that would suit beginners up to professional musicians. It has been fully checked, serviced, tuned and regulated by ourselves and is now ready for its next home, with a lifetime of music to give. The Yamaha U1 is the benchmark modern upright piano with its stunning looks, big bold and bright tone and excellent responsive action. The U10BL is a variant of the U1 which has a slightly different case design, and the top lid is in one piece rather than 2. This particular piano has had quite an easy life so far, lightly used but well looked after. It will be an ideal choice for someone looking to advance their playing or for the high build quality and reputation that Yamaha pianos are so renowned for.

Tone and tuning 

Very big, rich and bright tone, and a great dynamic range. It has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano includes the middle 'celeste' pedal for very quiet practising where necessary.


Keyboard and action 

Keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight. Very expressive and lovely to play on. 


Hammers and strings 

This piano has not been heavily played - the hammers and strings are in excellent condition - see photos. 


Case 

Shiny black polyester finish case in excellent condition - this piano is in near mint condition. It will look fantastic in a modern or classic styled home. It is on castors and moves quite easily. New matching adjustable stool included.
